What this is: a replacement cutting head. It replaces the nylon-line head on a strimmer you already own. No strimmer is supplied.
Diameter: 6" (approx. 150 mm) — this is the only size we sell

Safety — please read. A steel head is not a nylon head. It throws debris further and harder. Always wear eye protection and sturdy footwear, and keep other people and pets well clear. Check the maximum speed stamped on the disc against your machine’s rated speed before fitting, and never exceed it. Not suitable for curved-shaft strimmers, or for line-only trimmers whose head screws straight onto the shaft — those machines have no arbor to seat it on and are not built to carry a rigid cutting head. If you are unsure, ask us before ordering.

Where a Steel Wheel Beats Nylon Line
Nylon is made for grass. Ask it to take moss out of a block-paved drive or clear the gap along a stone edge and it shreds itself in minutes.
The steel knots do the opposite: they stay intact and take the surface growth off with them. Paving joints, kerb lines, shed bases, gravel edges.

Does this include the strimmer?
No. You are buying the cutting head only. It replaces the head on a strimmer you already own — the motor, shaft and handle stay yours. In the box you get the 6" steel wheel plus the full fitting kit — adapter flanges and cups, lock nuts, spacer rings, a T-handle wrench, a screwdriver and an arbor locking bar. What you don’t get is the machine. If you don’t already own a straight-shaft brushcutter that takes a blade, this product will not work on its own.
Will it fit my machine?
The centre hole is 25.4 mm (1") — the standard brushcutter arbor size, and the box includes adapter flanges, cups, lock nuts and spacer rings to match the common arbor sizes. It seats on the arbor exactly like a metal blade, so if your brushcutter can take a blade, this fits.
It will not fit a line-only trimmer whose head screws straight onto the shaft, and it is not suitable for curved-shaft machines. Not sure? Send us a photo of the end of your shaft with the head removed and we’ll tell you straight.
What size do I get?
The 6-inch head. It’s the only size we stock, and it’s the one sized for edges, paving joints and kerb lines rather than open grass. If you’ve seen an 8-inch version elsewhere, that isn’t what ships from us.
Is a steel head safe to use?
It demands more respect than nylon. Steel throws grit and debris further and harder, so eye protection is essential, sturdy boots are sensible, and people and pets need to be well clear before you start. Fit it only to a straight-shaft machine, check it’s tight before each use, and don’t run it against anything you’re not prepared to mark.
